The first owner kept this Cayman S for 6-years/25k miles. He serviced it regularly at either the local Porsche dealer or Autoscope in Dallas, Texas. The 2nd owner was from Austin, Texas. He purchased the car in October of 2013. This owner added another couple thousand miles until he hired a local shop in Austin to prepare it for track use. It was converted to a race car and ran in various PCA events from 2015 to 2018. It ran under GTB-1 class with its original 3.4L engine. It was sold to the current owner in 2019.

The current owner is a local Orange County Porsche enthusiast who has been recently enjoying his McLaren on the track. It was a street car and he wanted to have a track focused car to not only improve his skill, but share with his son who is a go kart champion. Upon purchase of this Cayman S, he sent it to the team at Vision Motorsports in Orange County. Vision has an excellent reputation for building some of the fastest and most reliable Porsche race cars. *The previous owner’s race shop custom built the cage and all the “*” items above. Vision fine-tuned some of the items and made them work better.

The exterior is in remarkable condition and clear that it was never involved in any incidents. Even the majority of the paint is still original as show by the paint meter. The hood has been repainted due to rock chips. There was also some light paintwork on the left rear fender with clear coat blending to the driver door. There are no signs of any damage and was prior to being converted to a race car. The windshield and rear window are both original and wearing their factory stampings. The rear quarter windows have been replaced with Lexan vents. The door windows have been saved and are used for transporting. The Forgeline wheels are near new and wearing new Hoosier tires. The front brakes have fresh pads. The rear brake pads will need to be replaced soon. The Martini stripes are vinyl and can easily be removed.

The interior is very tidy and well fabricated. The cage is a work of art and built to meet the strictest sanctioning body rules. The original doors have been gutted, which allow for NASCAR style door bars for additional protection and easier egress. The gauges and custom switch pod are a very clean installation. Even for larger drivers, the cabin is very spacious with an older OMP seat on the passenger side for instruction. The driver seat is on GT3 sliders to adjust for sharing the car. The carbon bucket will fit custom foam inserts to make driver changes easier and more comfortable. All the controls work properly.

This Cayman S is dialed, sorted, tuned, aligned, and ready to be enjoyed. It starts easily with a normal key. The GT3 electric steering makes whirring noises and takes about 10-20 seconds to activate when first started. It provides precise and effortless control. Besides being a low mile Cayman S to start with, it hasn’t had that many miles on the track and there is less than 6 hours on the engine as well as the rest of the work done by Vision. In testing, it did 1:27s at Willow Springs and 1:46s at AutoClub Speedway, all on Hoosiers. This is a great dedicated track car to safely enjoy the hobby as well as be competitive in a variety of events. It can run GT3 specification for P.O.C. (Porsche Owner’s Club) or GTB-1 for PCA (Porsche Club of America).

This Porsche comes with an extra key, side windows for transport, recent service records/engine build receipts from Vision, and cool suit igloo (mounted in frunk). No other additional parts are included.
