1974 Porsche 914-4 2.0

This is a former PCA -SCCA track car – Hill Climb car . I bought it from a PCA instructor back in 2013.

It only weighs in at 1700# All fenders are fiberglass and removable with zus fasteners .

Hood and front nose are also fiberglass . Deck lid is steel with a wing as shown .

This car has less than 60 miles on the rebuilt motor .

This is what was said about the car when I purchased it from the former owner in 2013 .

The car is pretty much ready to go, other than maybe adjusting the seat to you, it may need a throttle cable, the fluids are all fresh and, super blue brake fluid the calipers are the 911 Carrera type with stock pads, don’t need breaks much , doesn’t take much to stop it being so light most corners just back off the gas and steer through. I had JP at Van’s garage in Leland, Mi build the case for me and I do the rest. this motor will need some break in time just had a fresh rebuild.

new pistons, jugs and crank. I have had the 7 years.

These are unofficial times by a friend at DE events , the car is only snout 1700# with race slicks so it is very fast in the turns. On that track I would get passed on the straight by the twin turbo 911 but by turn. 3 I would be caught and all over them. I bought this car for de’s and autocross so I never race it competitively. My best unofficial times at Grattan were 123.00 – 126 .00. Not sure of the HP , never had it on a dyno

Here are some comparisons times of 3 other cars on the same track :

1. Dodge Viper SRT-10 ACR 1:22.70

2. Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 1:24.90

3. Chevrolet Corvette Z06 1:26.00

My son and I raced this with the MCSCC back in 2014 at the Milwaukee mile racetrack on the 2 mile road course .

In a high speed full course time trial . My son set the track record for the DRace class we raced it in and that record still stands .

The last picture shows the car at the Milwaukee track back in 2014 .

The car has sat in my garage since 2014 and I just got it out and running this last month . I was also racing a Porsche 944 EP and a spec Miata as well up until 2017 when I got a scca T4 national Mustang race car that we now race .

I plan on taking the car to Kelly Moss racing for a go over and valve adjustment etc so it is 100% ready to go .

The car has 3 sets of wheels with it .

16″ Fuchs replicas

15 ” Porsche 944 alloys with Hoosier race slicks

15″ Porsche 944 alloys with rain tires

The car has the following items on it .
