Car –1965 MGB – GHN3L/45…

Engine is a 18GA rebuilt, Su’s are rebuilt and tight, Isky cam. Internals very clean, no carbon in combustion chamber, reviewed with my bore scope, honing marks visible in bores. Pistons no carbon build up. Internals very clean. Pictures still stowed on my bore scope. Engine was stowed correctly – block drained, fresh oil, tank drained, clean. Engine number # 18GA-U-H16— 4 speed non syncro tranni, correct for year and class of car. Tranni is painted indicating it was pulled at some time. Inspected each cylinder, lubed each prior to spinning engine.

Trailer- custom built and licensed in 1976, – ID48.

Temporary wiring on trailer, new trailer rated tires, 2 inch ball, trailer lock. Has low tongue and deck height. Suggest a 6 inch drop ball mount, and does have ramps included. Packed the bearings with synthetic grease and replaced one bad. Trailer can travel. The car is supported on wood blocks on the trailer, can be towed after being re strapped. You’ll need tie downs.

ReCap:

This package with the 18ga is a great pallet for a unique project. Would make a great vintage SCCA racer / hill climber. I have new/used parts for the chassis, engine, tires, and interior. New Sebring front and back valences, monza exhaust, 5 OMNI steel fenders to make metal flares all the way around. The first 12 pictures are from the day I bought it. The last pic shows an omni flare on a MGB. See parts list lists in pictures of most items bought since December 1 2022. I have receipts, these are included. The parts total more than listing price.

Removed the old blue streak GoodYear racing tires (5.00×8.50×14). Blasted the wheels – stamped “Made in England”, and are true magnesium knock off mount – 6.5 (from inside beads) inches (165 mm) wide x 14 inch rims from the 70’s. Wheel hub bolts have “Richards” as the mfg and pitch. Bolts are a unique brit thread. Each bolt head is machine ground to interlock with hub. Wheels are blasted with fine glass beads. Wheels are sound and true, in the process of sealing and painting them. Primed two so far, zinc chromate been back ordered for 5 months.

Added pictures of a 215 V8 I’m am building to put in, wife changed mind on another car. Not sure at this time the fate of this build which is not included In this sale. Just showing to display the potential design build. 215 should have over twice the torq and HP at the same weight as the 4 banger.
