1965 ford mustang race car Ford 460 C.I V-8 (1973 block) previous owner reports: 700 horse power runs consistently at 10.2 130 MHP in 1/4 mile. Steel crank, forged domed pistons-approx. 12.1 compression. approx. 700 lift sold lifter cam -1969-72 “dove C” heads-adjustable value. High flowing-big values. Offenhouser port sonic single plane aluminum high rise-2 inch carb spacer. Holly 900 cfm pro series carb, Mallory mech advance unilite dist, pro-series coil-MSD 600a ignition box. Electric fan and water pump. High capacity oil pan..big tube fenderwell headers with large diameter pipes to rear wheels. Holly electric fuel pump/regulator. Race built C-6 trans with/scatter shield approx. 3500 stall converter, HD driveline, u-joints. narrowed Ford 9inch with HD 411 posi. Ladder bar coil over back half/tubbed rear suspension, Front uni-body removed to accommodate 460 big block. Box -tube frame replacement-rack and pinion steering, front disk brakes, drive-line loop. Ceterline drad lite 15×14 with Mickey Thompson ET drag slicks 32X14X15 (rear), front: Centerline drag lite 15X5 Moroso 550. 15-4 PR drag special. Tires are over 10-years old sholuld be replaced before racing. 5-point roll cage- cheetah shifter-full gauges except tacometer-line lock-mr gasket fuse box-battery cut off switch-charging pegs. duel batteries-10 gal fuel cell. Lift off fiberglass Hilborn pro stock hood, trunk lid-drag spoiler (aluminum)  front lower valace. Mini-high torque starter, solenoid and carb have low miles.1- New battery and 1-battery approx. 1-year old, dist cap/rotor new in box. Runs on 92 at idle or low speeds-with a load/racing 92/110 50/50 octane mix. Good race car interior-fairly straight body no apparent cancer or rust with race car paint job and decals. I have owned this car for approx. 8-9 years-but never raced it. It runs good (big power) but recently developed a LT knock sound which tested as what appears is rod knock in #8 cylinder (remove #8 pug wire and the knock stops)-advised it appears needs crank kit or low end rebuild.before running, driving or racing. Oil pressure is at approx. 40-50PSI at idle when cold when warm it drops below 20PSI at idle -but increases when RPM increases. No VIN/title due to uni-body removed (approx over 30-years ago?) were the 3 VIN stampings are according to mustang club. Sold with bill of sale. In Wa state the state patrol can inspect and issue a VIN/3yr reg and the car can be titled after 3-yrs.. Sold in-as-is condition with no warranty.express or implied. Could be briefly run to load and un-load on trailer for shipping at buyers direction-caution needed not to cause more low end wear. I can add Lucas oil treatment 50/50 which potentially can protect against wear when loading/unloading? Air cleaner included but Hilborn aluminum street scoop and tacometer not included.
