1996 Corvette LT4 ready to go racing. It was initially campaign in SCCA prior to my purchase. I modified it and drove it mostly in time trials with NASA. I have lightened the car significantly and race ready weighs just over 2800 pounds. It is equipped with a full roll cage and fire extinguishing system. The engine was rebuilt and tuned for 95 octane. Exhaust has been modified with long tube. Tri-Y headers and tunable exhaust. On the dyno the car produces approximately 340 hp to the rear wheels. Interior has Sparco racing seats with six point racing harness for driver and passenger. The car has fully modified suspension in the front to allow easy race track suspension set ups along with rear suspension mods including heim joints. The car is set up with 11” stock corvette wheels with 315 series tires on all four corners. The sale includes two extra sets of wheels and tires. One is set up with rain tires on stock 9.5” rims using 275 series Hoosier rain tires. The other set is stock 11” wheels with Hoosier 315 race slicks as seen in the photos. Also included are a lot of spare parts, including wheel, hubs, engine components, belts, brakes pads and brake calipers. The car starts and runs smooth as ever, and is still ready to race. I have not driven her campaign in the car in several years. If I were to race her again I would put new tires and car consider changing the cloth out of the Sparco seats. Also, the two intake couplers before and after the mass airflow sensor are split and need to be replaced. I was having trouble finding those to replace before selling the car. The graphics on the car or vinyl, and all can be peeled off. Exterior of the car was modified with a front facia and rear wing for a better cornering and high speed braking. This car is very competent and was very competitive in a SCCA. I am selling the car as I did not spend much time road racing as I have transition to drag racing instead. You’ll find this car. Is very capable and has many more seasons of racing left.
