1976 Chevy Monza Nitro Nostalgic Funny car Saturday Night FEVER – Turn Key
1976 Chevy Monza Nitro Nostalgic Funny car. This famous/infamous car was an east coast drag racing legend. Owned by Broadway Freddie DeName. The Saturday Night FEVER Monza funny car is a well documented Funny car winning many championships during it’s time racing. The Saturday Night FEVER theme is brought to life with a mural of John Travolta on the hood with a machine gun. The words “Stayin Alive” are painted on the rear of the car. The paint work was done by the original CIRCUS custom paint company known for loud and outrageous paint schemes back in the day. This is the original paint that is preserved incredibly. The funny car is motivated by blown Keith Black Hemi with an 871 Littlefield supercharger on top. A Lenco 2 speed brings power to the floater rear. All components true to the period the car was built and run in. The car has always been in a climate controlled environment. Runs on Nitro Methane and has been 6.02 in the quarter mile in its current form. The motor runs flawlessly and was started last year. Stored properly everytime. Comes with documentation. Rare opportunity to own a piece of 70’s drag racing history that is frozen in time. Collector grade condition and history. A true crowd pleaser for Nostalgic drags or exhibition drag racing.
